LuStruct — Terms of Use
Last updated 13 October 2026
Purpose
LuStruct is an engineering aid for linear static analysis of beam and grillage models. It supports the engineer; it does not replace engineering judgement, class approval or an independent check.
Verification is the user's responsibility
- Check every result independently (hand calculation, a second program, or class review) before using it for design, construction, approval or any safety-related decision.
- Results are valid only within the model scope: linear elastic, small displacement, beam elements. Checks marked incomplete or not applicable are not passed checks.
- Input errors, unsuitable modelling assumptions and misread rules remain with the user.
Rules and standards
- Rule clauses are referred to by number only. The rule texts belong to their owners (for example DNV, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas) and are not reproduced here. Use the current official edition.
- No class society or standards body has reviewed, certified or approved this software or its results.
No warranty
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, Lumeship is not liable for losses or damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the software or its results.
